University Bay Committee

The University Bay Committee, consisting of Arboretum Committee members James Dickson, Norman Fassett, Arthur Hasler, Aldo Leopold, and William Longenecker, was appointed to develop a plan for the newly acquired Picnic Point property.  The University Bay Committee produced the following documents suggesting how the University Bay area should be developed:

In August 1955, the University of Wisconsin’s Biological Division Committee on Natural Areas on the Campus (J. T. Emlen, G. W. Longenecker, L. E. Noland, and J. T.
