The Friends of the Lakeshore Nature Preserve is a non-profit organization that serves as an advocate for the active stewardship of the Lakeshore Nature Preserve. It aims to preserve, protect and nurture this special place as a learning environment through the vicissitudes of time by:

leading and participating in Preserve work parties
recruiting members and volunteers
publishing a Friends newsletter
sponsoring events and educational activities
seeking gifts and grant
