Preserve
The Friends of the Lakeshore Nature
Preserve works to preserve, protect and nurture the natural
places on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus so that
future generations can enjoy them just as we do today.
In order to achieve our goals, we need your help!
For the past few years the Friends
have worked on restoring Bill’s
Woods and Frautschi
Point. With
the completion of the Master
Plan other
Lakeshore Nature Preserve areas, including Tent
Colony Woods,
will be restored. In addition to continuing our current
projects, the Friends will participate in these new projects
by providing labor and money.
The Friends of the Preserve needs your time, your talents, your
enthusiasm, and, of course, your money. In 2007 the Friends launched a fund raising campaign to raise $100,000 for the Preserve Stewardship Fund in honor of bill Cronon, the recent chair of the Lakeshore Nature Preserve committee. To learn about the progress of this campaign, see:
