Educational Opportunities in the Class of 1918 Marsh

Students from the Biology Core Curriculum have been collecting data on the plant composition of the marsh every fall and helping to monitor any changes that result from management activities, such as the burn that occurred in the spring of 2000.

Students laying a transect through the marsh.  They then placed a 0.5 square meter sampling square every 5 meters and identified all the plants within the square.
