Welcome to the Friends of the Lakeshore Nature Preserve Web Site!

The Lakeshore Nature Preserve is a vital part of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and elicits fond memories in all who have spent time here. Natural areas such as Picnic Point, the Lakeshore Path, and Muir Woods define the character of the Madison Campus and make it one of the most beautiful in the nation. The Preserve provides opportunities for study and for relaxation; it is home to native plants and provides habitat to myriad birds and other animals.

The Friends of the Lakeshore Nature Preserve greatly values this urban refuge. Please help us take care of it. We invite you to explore the Preserve on this web site and in person. Please see About the Friends.
