Increasing International Visibility UW-Madison's growing reputation as a global research university was very much in evidence this past May as Dean Bousquet traveled with Chancellor John Wiley to England for a series of exciting events. Student Perspectives Award-winning undergraduate students reflect on international programs and current events. Julie Curti: "Studying abroad is not only an important component to one’s education, but also a lesson in how to live." Adam Lichtenheld: The world turns a blind eye to the horrors in Uganda.		Message From the Dean Celebrating a Milestone In 1996, the Division of International Studies and the College of Letters and Science turned their vision of a globally focused, flourishing academic community into a reality with the creation of the International Institute. Today, the Institute continues to represent excellence in innovation and collaboration, and has grown to include 16 member programs that cover every region of the globe. As part of the 10th anniversary celebration, I was asked to share my thoughts on the past, present, and future of the International Institute.
